Feature 01
Face and Hair Analysis
Hairover starts with what is actually in your photo (face shape, hairline, texture, length, and density), so the next cut is based on you, not a model.
Upload a well-lit picture that shows your face and current hair. Analysis builds a hair profile you can take into a salon conversation: how the hairline sits, how the texture behaves, and which silhouettes are worth trying. Use a clear photo, look toward the camera, and skip heavy filters. Only upload photos of yourself, or photos you have permission to use.
Want a quick read before you install? The free face shape detector measures your face shape in your browser, and your photo never leaves your device.
- Face-shape mapping from a single photo
- Hairline, texture, length, and density notes
- A profile to compare before you sit in the chair
What the analysis looks at
The read is tied to what is visible: the outline of your face, where the hairline sits, and how hair actually falls in that photo. Texture, length, and density notes sit next to that outline so recommendations are not pulled from a generic gallery.
How to take a useful photo
Face the camera, keep hair off the face if you can, and use even light. Avoid heavy filters and cropped selfies that hide the hairline. A practical checklist lives in our guide on how to take a photo for hairstyle recommendations.
